Sesame Street visit by Human Development students
A group of HS students of Human Development from the Port Washington, LI, school system had a curatorial tour and observation session in the Library for the Performing Arts exhibition Somebody Come and Play: 45 of Sesame Street Helping Kids Grow Smarter, Stronger and Kinder. The event was scheduled at 11 AM so they could learn about the exhibition and Sesame Workshop and then had the opportunity to observe how visiting todlers and children accessed the exhibition and its contents. As well as learning about how Sesame Workshop uses research and curriculum planning to inform scrip and song-writing, the program was planned by their teacher, Margaret Rizzo, to give them the opportunity to do observational research.
The students also viewed Broadway Revealed.
