Sesame Workshop education program 11/21
The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts hosted 3 student groups participating in Sesame Workshop's educational programming. They included over 70 students from Hofstra University's Educational Career Center, the Lawrence Township (NJ) Arts & Humanities Academy, and the Brooklyn (HS) School for Collaborative Studies. They studied the artifacts pertaining to history and the research/curriculum/script development of Sesame Street in the exhibition, Somebody Come and Play: 45 of Sesame Street Helping Kids Grow Smarter, Stronger and Kinder. They were guided by Evan Leslie (LPA) an Kara Koch (SW). The program will continue on Monday, November 24, with the program's international students. Since the Hofstra students were Freshmen, they and the HS students are being listed as YAs.
