What happens when the expert curators and archivist of the New York Public Library for The Performing Arts plan a night-cap with performers from the Mostly Mozart Festival? The most imaginative, arts-focused FREE trivia night this city’s ever seen. Join hosts ICE (the International Contemporary Ensemble) for an interactive night of culture games, with three world premier performances; stupid musician tricks, where ICE members show off their craziest instrumental skills; prizes from Lincoln Center and NYPL; plus an audience trivia competition, where the library’s unparalleled collection of composers’ manuscripts, recordings, choreographic notes, and theater designs inspire every question.
The event will feature:
- World premieres performances of works by Amy Williams, Alex Freeman, and students from the Walden School.
- An audience participation pub quiz, inspired by ICE's repertory and NYPL collections of rare performing arts artifacts. (the winning team will recieve a package of prizes from Lincoln Center, NYPL, and ICE)
- "Stupid Musicians Tricks," where ICE members compete against each other, showing off their most impressive, strangest, most acrobatic extended instrumental skills, judged by the audience.
