Summary
  1. Views of civil rights leader and mother of the modern civil rights movement Rosa Parks. The collection consists of individual portraits of Parks (ca. 1950s and 1980s), including views of her at an unidentified medal presentation (n.d.); in Philadelphia tapping on the Liberty Bell (n.d.); and during her appearance on ABC Television's "Good Morning Show" (1985). Also included are group portraits of Parks with C.H. Parrish and Phelps-Stokes Fund President Frederick D. Patterson attending a desegregation workshop at the Highlander Folk School, Monteagle, Tennessee (ca. 1955); with educator/civil rights activist Septima Clark at the Highlander Folk School (ca. 1950s); and with civil rights activists Coretta Scott King and Rev. Ralph Abernathy at an unidentified event (n.d.).
