Includes portraits of Marshall in law offices, court-hearings, sitting with other Supreme court officials, receiving checks, sitting on panel at a press conference in church and speaking with officials. People indentified in group portraits with Marshall include Associate Justices Potter Stewart and William O. Douglas, Chief Justice Warren E. Burger, and Associate Justices William J. Brennan Jr., Byron R. White, Lewis F. Powell Jr., Harry A. Blackmun and William H. Rehnquist; Charles Houston, Jr., Mrs. Charles Hamilton Houston and Dean Erwin Griswold; John Davis and Lee Rankin; Mrs Della Givens, Mrs. Ann C. Perry, Mrs. Florence Allan Holmes and Mrs Eva Flauders; Walter White and Rev. J.M. Hinton; and Gwen Baurne and Lavalle Simions. The collection also consist of portraits of Marshall's son and wife.
