Portraits of Haitian President Elie Lescot, consisting of official studio portraits of Lescot; and group portraits and views showing Lescot during his 1943 visit to Washington, D.C., that include President Franklin D. Roosevelt and First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, Howard University President Mordecai Johnson, Coordinator of Inter-American Affairs Nelson Rockefeller, Haitian Ambassador to the U.S. Andre Liautaud, and members of the United States Congress. Also included is a view of Mrs. Lescot, Georgina Saint-Aude, disembarking from a plane in Washington, D.C., and a candid portrait of son Gerard E. Lescot, Haitian Minister of Foreign Affairs.
