Summary

1. Views of actress Cicely Tyson. The collection consists of studio portraits of Tyson, which were probably used for publicity purposes; in television stills for the series "Eastside/Westside" (1963-1964), also featuring George C. Scott; in a publicity photograph, with actor Ivan Dixon, for an episode of the television series "I Spy" (1965); and in a publicity photograph from the theatrical production "A Hand is on the Gate" (1966), also featuring Josephine Premice, Ellen Holly and Gloria Foster. Tyson is also depicted receiving an honorary degree from St. Michael's College, Winooski, Vermont (1976), and in a group portrait with Atlanta mayor Maynard Jackson and MCA Records executive Mike Abbot for a screening of her television movie "A Woman Called Moses" (1978).
