  1. The National Association of University Women Queens Branch records are comprised of correspondence, minutes of committee meetings, announcements and correspondence for annual conventions, reports of sectional directors, programs, journals, printed matter and certificates for the Woman of the Year Awards, financial reports, poems by a chapter member, annual reports of other branches, and newsletters from the New York State's Women's Unit which is part of the Executive Chamber.

The National Association of University Women, founded in 1923, is comprised of women college and university graduates and has the following as its goals: to promote constructive work in education, civic activities, and human relations; to study educational conditions with emphasis on problems affecting women; to encourage high educational standards and stimulate intellectual attainment and women generally.

Biography
  1. The National Association of University Women, founded in 1923, is comprised of women college and university graduates and has the following as its goals: to promote constructive work in education, civic activities, and human relations; to study educational conditions with emphasis on problems affecting women; to encourage high educational standards and stimulate intellectual attainment and women generally. The NAUW maintains a placement service, awards annual national fellowships; each local group gives one or more college scholarships annually.
  2. The Queens Branch was organized in 1953 and engages in many fund raising activities to provide scholarships to women. The Queens Branch has about fifty-five members as of 1991 and assists the Wayside Home for Girls on Long Island and a local youth group.
