1. The Schomburg Center's Manuscripts, Archives & Rare Book Division's copy of this four-volume set is incomplete, with different accession numbers, lacking volumes 2 & 3. Volume 1 (accession # H745138) is probably one of the items acquired or added to the collection when Catherine A. Latimer was the collection Librarian; Lawrence Reddick was the Curator. It includes NYPL's bookplate of "Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection." Imperfect: lacks the original cover; bound in dark brown cloth over boards, library binding, and a gilt spine.
2. Volume 4, or the last parts in Sc Rare 325.344-F (accession # F947245), is probably one of the books added to the collection when Catherine A. Latimer was the collection librarian, and Lawrence Reddick was the Curator, with an NYPL's bookplate of "Arthur A. Schomburg Negro Collection." Imperfect treated and bound in brown cloth over boards, library binding, and a gilt spine; with original green illustrated soft printed wrappers.
