- Summary
- Commentary on the three major ways of videotaping dance: as documentation of an already choreographed work; as a video translation of an already choreographed work; or as a collaboration between the video artist and choreographer. Motherless child, with music by Odetta, originally choreographed for the stage by Jeraldyne Blunden and rechoreographed and performed by Celia Ipiotis, is used to illustrate the various points discussed.
