Swan lake [excerpts] (ca. 48 min.) / recorded on April 24 (evening) and May 5 (matinee), 1976 ; choreography, Frederick Ashton after Ivanov and Petipa ; additional choreography for Siegfried's Act I solo, Rudolf Nureyev ; scenery and costumes, Leslie Hurry ; danced by Natalia Makarova (Odette/Odile) with the Royal Ballet: Anthony Dowell (Siegfried), Derek Rencher (Rothbart), and others. Two performances edited for continuity. Excerpts from all four acts.

The sleeping beauty [excerpts] (ca. 57 min.) / recorded on June 15, 1976 at the company premiere of the ballet, and on another date ; choreography, Mary Skeaping after Petipa (from the version by Nikolai Sergeev) ; scenery and costumes, Oliver Messel ; lighting, Nananne Porcher ; danced by Natalia Makarova (Aurora), Mikhail Baryshnikov (Florimund), and American Ballet Theatre: Gayle Young (King Florestan XXIV) ; Sallie Wilson (his queen) ; Charles Ward, Frank Smith, William Carter, Clark Tippet (princes in the Rose Adagio) ; Martine van Hamel (Lilac Fairy) ; Dennis Nahat (Carabosse) ; Nanette Glushak (the countess) ; Yoko Morishita (the enchanted princess) ; Fernando Bujones (bluebird) ; Ivan Nagy also appears as Florimund in sections of Acts II and III. Two performances edited for continuity. Excerpts from Acts I, II, and III; no footage of prologue.
