- Scenes from the airlift, daily life in Berlin during the blockade, and political and military activity related to the local and international situation.
- Includes portraits and other images of American, British, French and Soviet military officers and other military and civilian personnel, including Lucius D. Clay and Brian Robertson (American and British military goverors), Frank L. Howley and Jean Ganeval (commanders of the American and French sectors) and V.D. Sokolovskiĭ (commander of the Soviet Military Administration in Germany)
- Includes images showing the founding of the Free University; rallies and demonstrations against the blockade, one being addressed by West Berlin Lord Mayor Ernst Reuter; portrait of Acting Mayor Louise Schroeder; demonstrations by Communists and their allies; election campaign activities, including officials and activities of the Socialist Unity Party (East Berlin Lord Mayor Friedrich Ebert, Socialist Unity party leaders Wilhelm Pieck and Otto Grotewohl and others), the Social Democratic party and the Christian Democratic Union party, and people waiting to vote, voting, and ballots being collected.
