Beethoven's Ninth Symphony performed by musicians from the Soviet Union, United States, Britain, France, and Germany, conducted by Leonard Berstein, in a "festival of jubilation" to commemorate the collapse of the Berlin Wall. The performance is preceded by scenes of the celebrations surrounding the dismantling of the Berlin Wall and an interview with Leonard Bernstein.
  2. Title on container: Ode to freedom = Ode an die Freiheit = Ode a la liberté.
  3. Text of final movt. of symphony from "Ode an die Freude" by Friedrich Schiller.
