  2. Title and statement of responsibility from copper disc mounted on covers.
  3. "All prints in this book were hand printed from original copper etching plates and transfer solvent printing techniques. Canson and Roma papers were used for the contents of the book and an Indian cotton paper for the end papers. The text was compiled by Lyndi Sales"--Colophon, on slip inserted in envelope mounted on inside of back board, together with a laminated paper containing a dried butterfly.
  4. Sales compiled the text and designed, illustrated, constructed and bound the book, which features pop-ups, fold-outs, movable parts, inserts, cut pages, tip-ons, and hand coloring. Canson and Roma papers were used for the contents of the book and an Indian cotton paper for the endpapers.
  5. Book design suggested by a cabinet of curiosities designed by Philipp Hainhofer, made between 1625 and 1631.

  1. Hand-bound using traditional stitching techniques, in three-part boards with two exposed spines. Boards are covered with maroon, green and gold brocade with Japanese paper lining papers. Engraved copper disc fits across both front boards, which meet in the center. In cream brocade wrapper with gold fleur-de-lis pattern, tied with a gold ribbon.
