Summary

1. Entrant in the Dance on Camera Festival 2002. Documentary about Dance Place of Washington, D.C., an organization that combines the functions of presenter, dance company, school, and community resource. Its history and multi-faceted, multicultural activities are described by its founder and director, Carla Perlo, and by the many dancers, choreographers, staff and board members, and supporters who have been associated with it over the years. The program spotlights performance excerpts (accompanied by brief interviews) from Dance Place's 20th anniversary celebration concert, which was devoted to artists from the Washington, D.C. area. Full cast lists and additional credits for the excerpts appear in the end credits.
