  1. [Othella Dallas sings "House of the rising sun"] (c1993; ca. 6 min.) / Schweizer Fernsehen; includes a brief introduction in English and German. A dance duet by a man and a woman accompanies the song.
  2. [Dance solo by Othella Dallas] (ca. 6 min.).
  3. Othella Dallas, black--free--and sixty (c1986; ca. 45 min.) / Fernsehen DRS; directed by Ettore Cella. Program featuring Othella Dallas as singer, interviewee, and subject of a documentary, in which she is also seen performing tap and ethnic dances, and teaching dance in her studio in Basel, Switzerland. In interviews recorded in the television studio and as part of the documentary, Dallas looks back upon her long career as a performer: her childhood debut as a tap dancer, her appearances with the Katherine Dunham Company, and her own shows in Europe as dancer and singer. She comments on gospel music, the importance of rhythm, her discovery of her singing voice while singing lullabies to her son Peter, the experience of performing with Duke Ellington, and her friendship with Eartha Kitt. In footage of a workshop directed by Katherine Dunham (ca. 1985 or 1986), she is seen dancing with fellow Dunham company members Vanoye Aikens and Tommy Gomez. In the television studio, Dallas sings three songs, accompanied by a jazz trio. The show's host notes the recent releases of the book [The] Othella Dallas story and the recording Othella Dallas: Rhythm is my business.
