Summary
  1. Edited footage of the performance celebrating the recipients of the 1982 Kennedy Center Honors, held in the presence of President Ronald Reagan. The program opens with pre-recorded footage of President Reagan's speech in honor of the occasion at the White House. After the opening number, "Memory" from the musical Cats, sung by Betty Buckley, each honoree receives an individual tribute consisting of a speech by a colleague, a film biography, and performances of music and dance.
