Program of tributes in speech and performance to entertainer Sammy Davis, Jr. In addition to live performances, the recording also includes archival footage of Davis' past performances with Bill Cosby, Richard Pryor, Bob Hope, Jack Benny, and Milton Berle. Gregory Hines appears in a tap dance solo, much of it danced a cappella, at ca. 50 min. into the recording; this is followed by a challenge dance between him and Davis.
