  1. A Working in the theatre seminar on the playscript. The program features four panelists affiliated with the New York Shakespeare Festival Public Theater: playwright Thomas Babe, director-in-residence Robert Allan Ackerman, play department co-ordinator Lynn Holst, and head of play development Gail Merrifield Papp. The panel also includes composer David Aldrich, play agent Susan Schulman, and playwright Stephen Currens. Discussion covers getting a new play produced; submitting a play for production; reading and evaluating a play; the origins and activities of the play development department at the Public Theater; the evolution of a play from script to final production; working with a playwright as a director; the operations of the Public Theater's play selection process, and the decision making of its producer Joseph Papp; and the panelists' various experiences getting their plays produced. Includes discussion on the productions of Babe's A prayer for my daughter and on Gorey stories, conceived and adapted by Currens, music composed by Aldrich, based on the stories of Edward Gorey.
