Description
  1. 1 videodisc (NTSC) (81 min.) : sd., col.; 4 3/4 in.
Summary
  1. Suzanne Carbonneau moderates a panel discussion with choreographer Seán Curran and composer Chris Lancaster. After Carboneau provides a biographical sketch of Curran's life, Curran describes how he came to create the choreography for St. Petersburg waltz; how his solos are autobiographical; the theme of loneliness in his dances; and his new work in progress, Force of circumstance. Composer and cellist Chris Lancaster discusses his collaboration with Curran; his cello playing style; how he came to play and create music for dance; and then demonstrates his electronic cello. Curran talks about the evolution of his choregraphic style as demonstrated in Force of circumstance.
