Summary
  1. Wes Chapman, Ballet Master of the American Ballet Theatre, moderates a panel discussion about the ABT's production of The sleeping beauty. Panelists include dancers Gelsey Kirkland and Michael Chernov. Gelsey Kirkland introduces the dances performed in the prologue. Michael Chernov talks about the history of the ballet Sleeping beauty and the current production. Gelsey Kirkland discusses the difficulties of dancing the Rose adagio and why Sleeping beauty is so important to ABT. The panel discussions are interspersed with excerpts from the ballet. After each performance the dancers are coached by Gelsey Kirkland. Includes a slideshow of set design sketches by Tony Walton and costume design sketches by Willa Kim.
