Description
  1. 1 videodisc (DVD) (25 min.) : sd., col.; 4 3/4 in.
Summary
  1. Rehearsals for the dance portions of the number "Dreams come true" from the 1945 musical Billion dollar baby, in preparation for the retrospective Jerome Robbins' Broadway. In this number, the female character Maribelle fancies herself in romantic situations drawn from silent film-era movies. The rehearsals on this tape feature several different performers, and the sections are not performed in sequence. Robbins voice is heard off-camera and he occasionally appears on camera as he directs the performers. "Dreams come true" was cut from Jerome Robbins' Broadway before its premiere at the Imperial Theatre, New York, N.Y in 1989.
