- Told in her own words and songs, the film covers 27 years in the life of N!ai, a !Kung San woman from Namibia's Kalahari Desert. Film footage of N!ai's early years, when her small band still roamed freely as gatherers/hunters over 15,000 square miles of desert, contrasts sharply with her present and radically different life on a government-run reserve. A comprehensive and historical look at a traditional culture that is rapidly disappearing.
