Shelly Strickler (WOR), Lida Snow (WINS) and Lou Miliano (WCBS) reported the events surrounding the show's closing, including Joseph Papp's refusal of a $50,000 NEA grant due to obsenity restrictions set by Sen. Jesse Helms. Original cast members Rick Cameron, Trish Garland, Donna McKechnie, Priscilla Lopez and Kelly Bishop share their memories and observations of the final performance. Jospeh Papp discusses about censorship in the theater and his personal feelings of the show ending. Live news feeds of a benefit auction of A chorus line emphemera for the Public Theater was also recorded. Song excerpts are included in the reports.
