Summary

1. In the first segment, director Terry Kinney and actor Thomas Sadoski discuss the Broadway production of Neil LaBute's play Reasons to be pretty, which Sadoski is appearing in under Kinney's direction. They address two controversial decisions made by the producers during previews, one of which concerned dropping the intermission, the other regarding audience members text-messaging during the play, a practice the producers chose to encourage.
2. In the second segment, Harriet Walter and Janet McTeer discuss their respective roles as Queen Elizabeth I of England and Mary Queen of Scots in the Broadway revival of Friedrich Schiller's historical drama Mary Stuart. They examine the political conflicts and the power of religion in the daily life of Elizabethan England, and the challenges they face as actors portraying such iconic figures.
