Summary
  1. A poetic documentary exploring the history of contact between Japan, Europe and America from the 16th Century to the present. Spanning centuries, continents and cultures and combining theater, dance and visual spectacle, the production evokes a world at once hilarious and harrowing in which cultural boundaries are being profoundly and inextricably changed. Part one of a trilogy dealing with East-West encounters, comprised also of Chinoiserie and After sorrow.
