Summary

1. Playwright, librettist and screenwriter Arthur Laurents speaks on his career in the theater, focusing on a newly published anthology of his plays. He discusses several of the selections, including his early works Home of the brave and The enclave, and his more recent play 2 lives. He also discusses his experience in Lawrence, Kansas, where he was honored at the William Inge Center for the Arts. After his talk, Laurents takes questions from the audience, and also discusses some of his film work, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Rope.
