  6. A visual history of Henry Miller's life as a writer and watercolorist structured around more than 300 individual pieces of ephemera (publishers' announcements, art gallery notices, self-promotional handbills, letters of appeal written by Miller, clippings, etc.).
  7. Formatted to give the appearance of a documentary scrapbook.
  8. Photographs and Miller's excerpts from letters, interviews, and essays provide historical context for individual pieces.
  9. Begins with Miller's business card from 1914, when he was working for his father's tailor shop in New York City, and ends with a handbill listing the events at "A Celebration of Henry Miller," organized by Fiddle Viracola at the New School for Social Research in New York City, June 30th, 1980, three weeks after Miller's death.
  10. First 43 copies issued with a Miller ephemerum bearing his autograph: a 2 x 2.25-inch bookplate signed for the "Minnesota Co-op Autograph Party" in January, 1962 ; a full page in the book is devoted to the story behind this item; probably no more than 50 of the bookplates were produced.
  11. Also contains a listing of 73 different watercolor exhibitions (1927-2010) held for Miller as either a solo or small group participant. Also included is a reference page with 21 samples of Miller's signature from 1916-1978.
