M.), host Steve Sullivan talks with Scottish violist Paul Coletti and pianist Phillip Bush about their recent Japan tour, performances in NYC, performing history, Scotland, and an upcoming recording (Hyperion Records) featuring viola works of the English composer Rebecca Clarke. Coletti and Bush perform live in the WNYC studio. In the second hour of the program (3:00-4:00 P. M.), host Steve Sullivan talks with composer David Lang, clarinetist/composer Evan Ziporyn and pianist Kathleen Supové about Lang's works, upcoming recordings (Ziporyn) and performances, including 1993's Bang on a Can summer music festival. Both Ziporyn and Supové perform live in the WNYC studio.
