  1. Author Max Wilk talks to famed musical composer/lyricist Stephen Sondheim about why "Oklahoma!" is still a popular choice today, for both musical goers and doers. Sondheim also talks about how another early Hammerstein musical, "Very warm for May", inspired him to work in musical theater. They talk about Hammerstein: Sondheim's relationship with him during when "Oklahoma!" premiered on Broadway, and how Hammerstein was almost swayed by Metro's movie contract.
