Summary
  1. Emmanuéle Phuon and Eric J. Sargis discuss their backgrounds and how they began working together on this project, Phuon talks about the traditional monkey role in Cambodian dance, what she was after artistically by using classically trained Cambodian dancers and how this process related to the original Cambodian masters that observed monkeys and created dances, how Sargis transferred the natural monkey movement onto the dancers, the artistic license Phuon used when creating this work, incorporating tasks and improvisation into the choreographic process, why and how Phuon choose this particular score for Khmeropédies III and Sargis talks about the live vocals that imitate the Gibon's monkey spacing call, and concludes with Phuon discussing what she gave the dancers and what she took away from the experience.
