Summary

1. Consists of 6 sewn four-leaf gatherings of Fabriano paper, each in a different color; first and last leaves mounted as pastedowns on front and back boards. Pages from 2 to 43 are divided into two 101 x 202 mm rectangles marked in black ink. From page 3 to 42, each rectangle contains a rectangular cutout; cutouts grow progressively smaller in top rectangle and larger in bottom rectangle. Concentric rectangles drawn in ink surround cutouts on bottom rectos (white ink) and top versos (black ink), progressively transforming the appearance of the top rectangle as seen on page 3 to that of the bottom rectangle as seen on page 42 and vice versa, but in a different pattern of colors.
