Summary

1. Consists of 10 bifolia of Textilene (an open-mesh woven PVC-coated polyester fabric), sewn in a single gathering with black thread. Outside and middle bifolia are black, remaining bifolia are gray. A black horizontal line is drawn in marker approximately 2 cm above lower edge of all gray pages. Innermost gray bifolium is otherwise blank; each of first 7 gray leaves contains a grid of 36 square and rectangular cutouts growing progressively larger so that a sculptural pattern emerges on the versos of the leaves; each of last 7 gray leaves contains on recto a grid of 36 squares in a red, yellow and black pattern, growing progressively smaller, and on verso a grid of 36 black squares, growing progressively smaller.
