Summary
  1. Mikhail Baryshnikov and White Oak Dance Project perform Past Forward, a retrospective and celebration of Judson Dance. Live works alternate with video sequences filmed by Charles Atlas and narrated by Baryshnikov. Most performances are bracketed with a quick description by the choreographer. Public participation is part of the program: local dancers and community members take part in several works. Unusually, Volume I contains a performance of "Huddle" staged outside the auditorium and "Scramble" is shown twice. Audience members stand in the camera sight line during the curtain call in Volume III.
