2. Lacking upper cover. Attributed to McLoughlin through an examination of the illustrations and the layout of other nursery rhyme books published by McLoughlin. Not in Nineteenth Century Collections Online (1/24/2016). The first line at the top of the first page in this incomplete copy reads, "This Pig went to market, all on a market day; But this Pig stayed home, he's a lazy pig, I say."
3. Printed in brown ink. In the first half of the book, the illustrations on the recto pages are printed in color, those on the verso pages are line art printed in brown. The center folio is printed in brown on the verso and facing recto. The lower half of the book has color printed illustrations on the verso pages.
