- Summary
- Checkmate, a ballet in one act with prologue, portrays a game of love and death, played according to rules of chess. The rake's progress, a ballet in six scenes, portrays the fall of a young man who squanders away his fortune, is cast into a London madhouse, and filled with remorse, ends his days.
