FBI agents Fox Mulder (Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Anderson) work to uncover the truth behind unsolved cases that defy normal investigation - cases the government has buried or ignored, labeling them "X-files." In the "Pilot" episode, Mulder and Scully investigate the deaths of four young teenagers who disappeared in the woods outside a small Oregon town. Scully finds her new partner lives up to his reputation for the bizarre, and his nickname "Spooky," when he theorizes alien involvement.
