Summary
  1. The true story of Carrie Buck, who was considered retarded and committed to the Virginia Colony for Epileptics and the Feebleminded after her baby was born and taken away from her. In 1926 she was sterilized without her understanding or agreement, the first victim of the Virginia Compulsory Sterlization Law. This act led to the sterilization of over 50,000 American citizens without their consent, and was later cited by the Nazis as the precedent for their race hygiene programs.
