Calavera de las elecciones presidenciales
[Ciudad de] México : Talleres de Linotipografía de la Test. de A. Vanegas Arroyo, 1919
This broadside’s verses are apparently inspired by the looming 1920 Mexican presidential election. Pairing the poem with the image of Don Chepito Mariguano seems to underscore the political skepticism of the satirical text, in which a slate of corrupt candidates and low voter turnout lead to the election of a murderous thief.
